Part One
If any season embodies femininity, it is spring. There is something fresh, inspiring, and deeply connected to femininity about this time of year. While January marks the start of a new year, spring symbolizes renewal, the blossoming of new ideas, and growth. This feminine spring guide will transform how you view spring and how it correlates with being female.
Just as a flower buds with promise in early spring, our feminine energy also awakens. As the warmth of the sun’s glow returns, the flower blossoms, revealing its beauty to the world. Embrace this transformation, lovely—just as the flower does.

What is it about spring that feels so feminine? Sitting on my little barstool at the kitchen counter, I pondered this exact question. While we can embrace our femininity all year round, something particularly magical about spring inspires us to don dresses with matching hats, dive into spring cleaning, and arrange beautiful flowers. Perhaps it’s because we feel a deeper connection with Mother Nature as trees, buds, and flowers bloom.
In this Feminine Spring Guide, you will discover ways to tap into your natural feminine instincts. You’ll find reasons to celebrate being female this spring, and you will do so with style, grace, and confidence. Because, darling, nothing is better than being a woman and authentic to yourself.
We will explore a few ideas from my larger, more comprehensive guide, “Spring Guide: The Urge to Be Feminine.” While this guide can be applied throughout the year, I wanted to focus specifically on the approaching spring season.
Without further ado, hold on to your sassy beret, because we’re jumping in!

Identifying What Being Feminine Means to You
In this first section, you’re going to discover what being female means to you. Once you have a clear idea what being female means to you, you will then be able to identify all the ways in which you prefer to tap into your feminine side.
For this exercise, you should grab your journal and re-write the question and fill in your answers. At the end of this exercise, you are going to go back and circle all of the main answers to come up with what being feminine means to you. I’ll share my own results at the end of section 1.
When you think of being your best, most perfect version of yourself, what do you picture?
Don’t worry, that’s a tough question, which is why we sill start will smaller, easier questions.
Question #1
Do you picture yourself wearing long, flowing dresses no matter the season or task at hand? If so, you most likely romanticize being feminine and are considered a Romantic Feminine Fashionista.
Take a moment to write down what you picture wearing for each of these occasions:
- You’re going on a stroll around the park
- You are working in the garden
- spring brunch with the ladies
- church morning
- picnic
- feeding the chickens
- going on a bike ride
- picking flowers from the floral shop
- trip to the bakery
- baking in the kitchen
- going fishing
- going on a hike
- riding a horse
- working on an art project
If you prefer to wear more comfortable or practical clothing, such as pants, jeans, hoodies, relaxed shirts and sweaters and always dress for the occasion versus choosing the outfit that inspires your more feminine side, you are a Cozy Practical fashionable woman.
Question #2
Imagine preparing for a date with someone special.
Do you carefully select your outfit and thoughtfully apply your makeup and style your hair?
Or do you simply stick with whatever you’ve been wearing all day, maybe running a brush through your hair and going as you are, with no makeup because you prefer to be completely natural?
If you, 1. take your time applying your makeup, working on your hairdo and choosing what to wear, you are the Glam Planner.
On the other hand. If you don’t stress about what to wear, and prefer a more natural, less glamourous look, you are the Breezy Naturalist.
Question #3
Are you a nurturer? Do you envision, or currently experience, taking care of others—such as children, pets, a partner, or parents? Do you also contribute to the well-being of others through a career in fields like nursing, teaching, or medicine?
Alternatively, are you a solo act? Are you someone who lives a carefree, independent life? Do you prefer to focus on yourself and your personal goals, without the responsibilities of dependents?

Question #4
how do you prefer to spend your free time when you are not working, or taking care of others, a household or family?
Do you like to craft, paint, or sew? Or do you prefer to get outdoors as much as possible? Furthermore, are your hobbies outside such as in the garden or farming? If your free time is usually spent outside doing things like biking, going for hikes or picnics, playing in the lake or jogging, you could be the nature enthusiast feminine type.
If you find that your spare time is usually spent indoors, you might be a feminine home-body. Especially if you prefer doing things like, cuddling into a big comfy chair with a cup of tea, a sewing project or other hands-on project, and finding new ways to enjoy the inside of your lovely home…

Question #5
Are you fueled by your dreams and career aspirations? Does being a fabulous boss babe light up your life? When you imagine your ideal outfit for the day, do you see yourself in a stylish power suit, chic heels, and a bold hairstyle with eye-catching makeup? If that’s you, then you’re absolutely embodying the vibrant spirit of a true boss babe! Keep shining and conquering your goals!
On the other hand, if you envision a life that aligns more with the traditional roles of a wife and mother, you are likely a “Trad Wife” or “Trad Mother.” Typically, a Trad Wife or Trad Mother prefers to take an active role in raising their children and caring for them directly, rather than relying on daycare or extended preschool. They also make it a priority to be home for their husband after a long day of work.
A Trad Wife or Trad Mother usually handles various household tasks such as cooking, baking, cleaning, and caring for their children, instead of hiring help for these daily necessities. Their hobbies or jobs are often more flexible, centered around one primary goal: to nurture their home and family within its walls.

Let’s Tally Up the Score!
Write down your results. My feminine types are…
Romantic Feminine Fashionista
A Glam Planner
A Nurturer
A mix of Home-body and Nature Enthusiast
And a Trad Wife/Trad Mother (My hobby-jobs are always flexible. It’s important that I have say over my schedule)
Embrace Soft Girl Era

This particular aesthetics are crafted through the desire to have delicate, care-free, and ultra feminine aesthetics. Moreover, soft girl era is currently trending, and for a good reason too. Women all over the World are craving a simpler, slower paced lifestyle where being female is enough. Women are learning to tap into their feminine urges to create, find, and surround themselves in all things feminine aesthetics.
Embracing your delicate side begins with recognizing that you have one, and understanding that it is not a negative trait to be fragile. Females often possess a heightened intuition about themselves, others, and the world around them. We are precious beings, typically careful and deliberate in our actions.
To connect with your delicate side, don’t shy away from your emotions; embrace them. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. Make a conscious effort to be gentle and soft, whether in your voice or actions. Additionally, you can express your femininity by dressing elegantly, laughing often, trusting others, learning to let go, and taking care of yourself
Here are some key points to achieve that soft girl aesthetic this spring:
- Slow down
- Tap into your femineity
- Embrace your delicate side
- Speak in a delicate and intentional manner
- Dress Girly
- Embrace feminine hobbies
- Create feminine routines
- Educate yourself in the art of being female
- Care for others by tapping into your maternal instincts
- Decorate in a feminine way
- Surround yourself with feminine aesthetics
Additionally, those who embody the “soft girlie” lifestyle aim to live with ease, deliberately rejecting a previous, hustle-driven mindset. When you’re not feeling stressed, it’s much easier to maintain a calm, positive, and gentle tone with yourself and others.
Feminine Spring Guide: Dress More Feminine

Dressing in a girly style is one of my favorite ways to enhance your soft girl aesthetics. This approach allows you to showcase your ultra-feminine and delicate side. While it’s important to stay true to your unique style for authenticity, stepping outside your comfort zone to try new things can be a rewarding experience if you’re not used to dressing girly.
The good news is that soft girl aesthetics focus on comfort, aligning with a philosophy of living with ease. After all, you may find it hard to be patient, calm, and soft-spoken if you’re feeling uncomfortable in what you wear.
To align your wardrobe with a soft girl aesthetic, consider incorporating these items:
- Chunky knit sweaters
- Oversized sweaters
- Granny square cardigans
- Fluffy 3-D knits
- Pastel colors and other light shades (especially buttercup yellow, baby blue, and pastel pink)
- Y2K-inspired fashion
- Anime-themed clothing
- 1990s-inspired styles
- Nostalgic prints featuring cute animals, flowers, and hearts
Soft girls always have soft girl hobbies to do for your Feminine Spring Guide!

These hobbies help to keep a body and mind calm and at ease while living this slower-paced lifestyle.
But if your granny never taught you how to knit or crotchet, don’t worry; there are plenty of soft girl hobbies. Look at this list and see if these soft girl hobbies sound appealing.
- drawing
- flower arranging
- knitting
- cooking
- gardening
- photography
- dance
- jewelry making
- pottery
- reading
- Yoga
- Horseback riding
- sewing
- playing an instrument
These hobbies will help you connect with your more feminine side and help you become more delicate and exude soft girl energy. To read my article on being a Soft Girl, follow this link HERE:
Additional Feminine Spring Activities to Try Now!
Spring activities are a direct line to help you feel IN-season, to feel more feminine, and to keep you forward moving and thinking. Spring is an excellent time of the year to embrace your soft girl era and search internally what being a woman means to you.
- starting a garden
- bake spring treats
- cook with fresh spring food
- ride a bike
- gather outdoors
- have a picinic
- go flower picking
- spring cleaning
- take a sewing course
- practice the art of flower arranging
- wear spring dresses
- Host or attend a tea party

Gardening is a direct link to spring.

There’s something about putting your hands into soil that awakens the soul, and connects a woman to Mother Earth. Besides that, gardening is a stress reducer and aids in healthy gut microbiome. Gardening has been said to be one of the healthiest forms of exercise that you can do that aids in living a long, healthy life. Gardening is a direct activity that can make you feel quite domesticated, self sufficient, and be y our own little piece of heaven on Earth.
Baking
This activity is not specific to women, of course, but because this blog is all about the girlies, that’s what we’ll focus on. Baking is a great way to practice one of many feminine urges. There’s something magical about researching recipes, shopping for and gathering ingredient, baking and arranging baked goods for family and friends.

Spending Time Outdoors
One of the many ways to enjoy spring is by getting outdoors in it. Why not choose to have your workout outdoors while riding a bike. When I picture a feminine way to ride a bike, I always envision a beach bike or an old banana-seat bike in pastel colors, with a little basket nestled on the front.
Try gathering together for more occasion than solely Easter or spring weddings. Try putting together a picnic, a day at the park to fly kites, a bike riding party, a garden or tea party and so on. The list can go on and on.
For some odd reason, whenever I am packing for a picnic by myself or with the family, I always feel so French in doing so. The French are known for packing picnic to enjoy when they are on the road. They often opt for a picnic when traveling versus eating in the car on the go. This is brilliant! if you have a nice little picnic basket packed and ready to go, you can lay down a spread just about anywhere.

Feminine Spring Guide: Feminine Routines

Create Feminine Routines. Feminine (especially not Soft girls) do not value the grind of getting ahead. That can create too much stress and doesn’t evoke a sense of relaxing and living in the moment. However, they do prioritize slow living and self-care. To achieve self-care, there are a few routines that you can put into place without being overly strategic or goal-focused.
For instance, try a morning routine that involves sipping tea, journaling, wearing a face mask, and wearing your fluffiest socks. The next day, have coffee while watching the sun rise in your yoga clothes, and you will have a little yoga session after you’re done drinking your coffee… The point is to create a more flexible routine that isn’t strict on the order or process of things.
