We will explore how your thoughts can directly impact your goals to become a more positive-thinking woman. We do this by looking at our New Year Resolution: The Power of Your Chain of Thought! So, if you are ready to keep your New Year Resolution, let’s start by looking at your chain of thoughts.
Why this particular resolution, you ask?
For five reasons:
- to improve creativity
- enhance problem-solving,
- aid in decision-making,
- create discipline,
- and reach your goals in life.
To stay true to this blog, we will assume your goal is to become the best feminine version of yourself. And, specifically, alter your chain of thought patterns. If you want to read similar blog posts like this, go here: https://afemininelife.com/10-feminine-morning-habits-you-need-to-start-now/

Okay, so now what?
New Year Resolution: The Power of Your Chain of Thought…Journaling!
We are now embracing the power to transform our thoughts and imagine a new reality. Your thoughts hold the strength to inspire change in your actions.
Your thoughts are powerful guides, capable of illuminating your path through life’s twists and turns.
A best practice for this is to journal. A journal can help us see patterns in the way we think and make changes from there.
Embrace the strength of your mind. The true essence of your thoughts emerges from the significance you assign to them.

Have Self Compassion Part of Your New Year Resolution: The Power of Your Chain of Thought
Cultivate a positive mindset and purpose. Remember, that the way you think shapes not only your experience but also the world around you.
What you think about yourself can determine EVERYTHING. Show yourself some love and compassion. You can catch and stop yourself from saying something unkind (and untrue) about your self-worth and or image.
We women can be brutal to ourselves. We don’t always like it when we’ve gained a pound or two. Or if we are not seeing results fast enough. We nick-pick every little detail about our looks. We don’t like this wrinkle here, or the size of a body part there…
Repeat Positive Affirmations Regularly

Let your thoughts empower you, and watch as they transform challenges into opportunities and dreams into reality. Dive deep into the power within you, and navigate life with wisdom and intention!
Focus on Being Thankful as Your New Year Resolution
You can reach your desired level of change depending on what effort you put into yourself. Focusing on gratitude leaves little room to dwell on losses or shortcomings.
By changing the way you think, you will start to see positive changes in your behavior and attitude. The best part? This is infectious to those around you. Your positive outlook will influence others!
Allow a Small Window For Negative Thoughts
No one enters this world with an automatic disposition towards being a positive person. It’s a conscious choice—a practice that requires dedication and effort.
Every day presents an opportunity to shift our perspective, embrace gratitude, and nurture a hopeful outlook.
If you allow yourself some time to decompress. You are allowed to acknowledge when you’ve had a bad day, you can then move on. Don’t let your bad day turn into a bad week, month, or year!
Remember, it’s not about denying challenges; it’s about choosing to focus on the light, even in the darkest moments.
Remember, Your Thoughts Are Not Your Reality
Though, your thoughts can change your reality. Tricky. I know.
Just because you think something negative, doesn’t mean it’s true.
Practice meditation or yoga. This is a great way to instill calmness in the mind and let go of what no longer serves you. And Yoga and meditating is definitely a feminine life-approved practice 🙂
More on why thoughts are not your reality from this Psychology Today article:
Learn to Deal with Criticism
You can alter your perspective and choose how to react. You can choose to let it go and come up with a new thought. Ultimately, you need to decide if you are going to react or respond to someone else’s choices. After all, you can’t control what someone else says to you.
When you learn to let go of what is out of your control, like criticism, your mindset will shift. Focus on what IS in your control. Like how you respond. Sometimes criticism comes from a place of love and help.
Reframe Your Less Helpful Thoughts
Imagine this:
You’ve been dedicated to your workouts at the gym, faithfully follow your coach’s plan, eating well, and prioritizing your health. Then, the next time you step on the scale, you see that you’ve gained 7 pounds. Instead of succumbing to negativity, take a moment to celebrate your hard work. Acknowledge your increasing endurance and be proud of the effort you’ve invested. Commit to consulting your coach; it’s likely you’ve built muscle and are experiencing some water weight as your body transforms. Your coach can offer valuable insights to guide you on this journey.

Start Small
Catch yourself saying things like:
“I’m such an idiot!”
“I’m bad at___”
“I can’t do it!”
“I ruin everything!”
“I’m Ugly!”
“I’m fat!”
“I have a big Nose!”
“I wish I had bigger breasts…”
It’s easy to fall into the habit of speaking negatively without thinking about it. Whether we truly believe it or not, our words influence others, especially young listeners. Let’s be mindful and choose to be positive—it’s just as contagious and can inspire those around us!
Whenever you notice yourself saying something negative, take a moment to acknowledge it and apologize to yourself or anyone nearby. Then, uplift the atmosphere by replacing that negative thought with a positive affirmation.
Keep Building that Muscle of Change
Change is unavoidable. The great news is, that even if we want things to stay the same, it’s impossible. Everything changes. What matters is how we adapt.
Build a plan that resonates with you. Start small. And, like all plans, you will need to be open to adjusting as needed. There is no one right way to change the way you think. There is no one plan fits all. There’s plenty of frameworks out there, you only need to find what speaks with you.
Never give up!
Embrace this journey. Watch how your choice to be positive creates a ripple effect. You will inspire not only yourself but those around you as well.
